Pacing

Who told you
“You better hurry up!”
?

Who is whispering in your ear,
“Don’t let someone else get ahead!”
“You are going to be (too) late.”
“Keep up!”
“The early bird gets the worm.”
“It’s not polite to make others wait (for you).”
“Stop being lazy, get going!”
?

What if…
you trusted your way of moving?
What it…
you didn’t hurry?
What if…
you traveled at your own pace?

Psalm 139: 13-15 (NRSV)

For it was you who formed my inward parts;
            you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
            Wonderful are your works;
that I know very well.
My frame was not hidden from you,
            when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.

Mini-pilgrimage

Meditate on the words of Psalm 139:13-15 as a way of praying.

Consider with God what might be the most integrated ways for you to move.
